Cycling has increased by 40 per cent since the start of the pandemic, including a near-doubling of journeys by bike at the weekend, it was revealed on Wednesday.
First details from the annual Travel in London report also shows that the total number of journeys by all modes of transport in the capital has increased but remains 11 per cent down on pre-pandemic levels, with 24.2m daily trips – compared with 27m in 2019.
