Customers furious as inflation hits PoundBakery with prices raised over £1

Inflation Greggs Reddit Stockport

Customers have described price rises at UK chain PoundBakery as "the apocalypse" with inflation sending the cost of certain items to more than £1.

A British brand, the chain started in Bolton, Greater Manchester in 2010 but thanks to its great value products now boasts over 100 stores across the UK.

But one angry customer took to Reddit after visiting the Stockport bakery to discover sausage rolls are now 20p more expensive, Manchester Evening News reports.
