Curmel Moton Will Compete Tonight On The Undercard Of Nate Diaz Vs. Jorge Masvidal.

Curmel “Big Deal” Moton, an 18-year-old prospect, was just added to the undercard of the boxing match between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal. On Saturday, July 6th, at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, he will fight 36-year-old Russian journeyman Nikolai Buzolin (9-8-1, 5 KOs).

Young and determined, Curmel Moton spends all of his time in the gym training. Moton was ready to take his forthcoming match with just two weeks’ notice because of his work ethic.

At the age of seventeen, Moton made his professional debut by stopping his first two opponents in the first round. In the third fight of his professional career, Moton was scheduled to take on Anthony Cuba, a boxer trained by four-division world champion Leo Santa Cruz, who had never lost before.

Curmel Moton and Anthony Cuba squared off on the undercard of Tim Tszyu vs. Sebastian Fundora back in March of 2024. Anthony Cuba managed to advance past the opening round, something that Moton’s first two opponents were unable to do.

Curmel Moton, the protégé of Floyd Mayweather, is a composed fighter with good timing, hitting power, ring IQ, and placement. Moton had excellent attacking skills in his battle with Cuba by consistently pressing forward and varying his attack. Moton committed a few defensive errors in a highly action-packed encounter.

Although Moton was able to demonstrate his strong chin, Cuba was able to even things out with a few well-placed shots. There were several exchanges between the two boxers during the exciting Moton vs. Cuba match. Although Anthony Cuba was competitive, Moton made most of the striking shots.

All three judges scored the match 80-72 for Moton, earning him a unanimous decision victory at the end of the eight rounds of competition. On Saturday night, the rapidly improving prospect will try to record his fourth victory of the professional era. The deft veteran Nikolai Buzolin will be facing him; he is used to utilizing a range of feints and changing positions frequently. Curmel Moton (3-0, 2 KOs) is a very skilled prospect with all the necessary tools.

“Made weight per usual. Once again, another one of my opponents missed weight, this time by 3 pounds, but regardless, we’re still accepting the fight and ima handle business tomorrow. 4-0,” said Curmel Moton in a video of himself lifting the weights.

“Just for this fight, short notice so went at 135 my next fight with a proper camp will be at 126 or 130,” added Moton on x.
