Cruz Beckham announced his plans to launch a music career the day after his seventeenth birthday.
The son of pop royalty Victoria Beckham said he is working with the writer who helped propel Justin Bieber to international fame.
Cruz has been in the studio with Bieber's writer 'Poo Bear' who penned his tracks Yummy, What Do You Mean and Intentions.
The teenager released a Christmas single for charity in 2016 but it appears this time he wants to give it a real go.
Speaking about his short-lived stint in football, he told i-D magazine: "I thought I would want to do football and I did that for a bit.
“At that point, I just decided this is exactly what I want to do.”
“I even learnt how to play the mandolin for a song I wrote.
“I don’t think you ever stop learning, but I’m taking my time seeing what happens.”
Cruz also spoke about how he and Poo Bear have been in the studio "a few times" and "made some songs together".
But this is far from his first time in the spotlight.
He performed with his mum on stage when he was just three years old when the Spice Girls headlined Madison Square Garden in New York in 2008.
Reminiscing he said: “I was doing head spins and stuff, which is great to look back at now.”
David and Victoria Beckham have always supported their son and apparently first realised he had talent when he was singing a Beyonce track in the car.
He laughed: “I was still really little! My voice hadn’t really developed, so I could just sing that high!”
The youngster proved himself to be a Billie Eilish super fan as he celebrated his birthday with a two-tiered cake with photos of the Bad Guy singer's face printed across it.
The greeting message read in bright pink icing: "Dear Cruz, We love you so much"
"Happy birthday from mum, dad, Brooklyn, Romeo and Harper xxx"
On top of the extravagant cake was a model of Cruz surrounded by candles.
David also wished his son a happy birthday as he shared a black and white snap of Cruz performing a karate kick with the caption: "Happy Birthday".
The teenager wore a pink hoodie, covering his bleach-blond hair and accessorised with a selection of rings.
