Cruz Beckham 's underwear photoshoot and magazine front page has left fans feeling uneasy, with many dubbing the snaps "disturbing" and "inappropriate".
Some fans of the Beckham family have also said that the new shoot "sexualises" the teenager.
The youngest son of David and Victoria Beckham is the latest face of i-D magazine 's Spring issue - stripping down to his pants, which has caused a stir among social media users.
Cruz, who turned 17 on Sunday, sported a pink buzz-cut for The Out of Body issue's shoot, and dropped his jeans down to reveal a pair of white boxers as he sat down and covered his eye.
Fans have been up in arms over the snaps of the 17 year old, with many taking to social media to air their concerns for the "disturbing" shoot.
One fan took to Twitter to say: "There are several things disturbingly inappropriate about Cruz Beckham’s i_d magazine shoot."
Someone else on the social networking app said: "I can’t be the only one uncomfortable with 17-year-old Cruz Beckham thirst trapping and stripping to his boxers and showing off abs for a mag front cover?!"
While a third person penned: "Are we all going to pretend that Cruz Beckham posing in his underwear on a magazine as a sixteen year old is totally normal? If it was a sixteen year old girl…."
When proud mum Victoria took to her Instagram stories to gush over her son, she penned: "He learned from the best."
And when she posted on her grid she wrote: "Big first day as a 17-year-old! @cruzbeckham for @i_d, so proud."
Some of Victoria's followers were unimpressed with the sultry display of the teen though, with a few voicing their uneasiness.
One commented: "Very disturbing... sad."
While someone else penned: "I don't wanna see a 17 year old like that," before adding: "It wasn't toxic... just more of the fact I remember all the boys being born. They've gone from babies to this and it's uncomfortable to adjust to it isn't it."
Commenting on the above, someone said: "Yep I agree, imagine if it was a girl! Everyone would call it out, these pictures are not in good taste for a 17 year old."
While over on dad David's Instagram page, he received a barrage of comments from followers who said that he was "sexualising" his son.
David shared the front cover of the magazine and penned: "So cool @cruzbeckham for @i_d. such a proud dad."
One person then commented: "Proud of what, you be ashamed of sexualising your young son."
A second then said: "Lets hope u don't sexualise your daughter like this when she's 17"
While a third penned: "Why are we acting like it's OK to have images like this of a 16 year old boy? He has just turned 17.
"If this was his daughter in her underwear and grabbing her crotch we would rightfully say it's not OK. Just because it's a boy doesn't make it acceptable. Why take photos of a teenage boy grabbing his genitals?"
But some jumped to Cruz's defence, with one Instagram user writing: "Literally no positive comments from you people. This kid is 17 years old, and your comments are disgusting! You should all be ashamed of yourselves. If you don't like something... SCROLL ON BY!"
