Crude Prices Underpinned by Heightened Middle East Tensions

Oct WTI crude oil (CLV24) today is up +0.14 (+0.19%), and Oct RBOB gasoline (RBV24) is down -1.22 (-0.59%).

Crude oil and gasoline prices today are mixed.  Heightened tensions in the Middle East are underpinning crude prices.  Gains in crude are limited today by a stronger dollar and increased crude exports from Libya.  Also, ongoing concerns about weak energy demand in China, the world's second-largest crude consumer, are bearish for crude prices.
