January WTI crude oil (CLF24) this morning is down -0.52 (-0.67%), and Jan RBOB gasoline (RBF24) is down -0.0133 (-0.61%).
Crude oil and gasoline prices this morning are moderately lower. Today's weaker-than-expected U.S. economic reports were negative for energy demand and crude oil prices. Crude is also under pressure from expectations that Wednesday's weekly EIA crude inventories will increase for the fifth consecutive week. Losses in energy prices are limited after the dollar index fell to a 2-1/2 month low.
