Crude Prices Slip as Global Oil Supply Risks Recede

August WTI crude oil (CLQ26) today is down -0.59 (-0.83%), and August RBOB gasoline (RBQ26) is up +0.0078 (+0.27%).

Crude oil and gasoline prices are trading mixed today. Crude oil prices gave up an early advance and turned lower today amid signs that more crude is flowing through the Strait of Hormuz. Crude prices initially moved higher today after Iran insisted it controls traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, a move opposed by the US, Europe, and Gulf Arab nations.
