Crude Oil Prices Undercut by a Stronger Dollar

May WTI crude oil (CLK24) on Friday closed down -0.44 (-0.54%), and May RBOB gasoline (RBK24) closed up +0.48 (+0.08%).

Crude oil and gasoline prices on Friday settled mixed.  Energy prices Friday were under pressure from a rally in the dollar index to a 5-week high.  Energy prices saw underlying support as recent Ukranian drone attacks on Russian oil facilities reduced Russia's average oil refining rate to a 10-month low.
