Cristiano Ronaldo charged by FA for incident following Everton win at Goodison Park

Cristiano Ronaldo has been charged by the FA for an incident which occurred following the final whistle of Everton's 1-0 win over Manchester United in April.

The Blues secured what was a crucial three points in their fight against relegation through a deflected effort by Anthony Gordon at Goodison Park earlier this year. Following the game, the visiting team exited the stadium at the corner between the Park End and Bullens Road stands, heading towards the temporary visiting changing rooms in the car park.

Footage later circulated around social media of Ronaldo leaving the pitch and appearing to knock a phone out of 14-year-old Everton supporter Jake Harding's hand as he went by. The United star was cautioned by police for the incident last month, and it was understood the former Real Madrid and Juventus star had agreed to pay compensation to the schoolboy.
