The Seahawks struggled during the first half against the 49ers on Thanksgiving, but they found life early in the third quarter after coming up with a big pick-six off Brock Purdy.
Cris Collinsworth practically spoke the play into existence, as the NBC broadcaster had been saying just before the snap how Seattle’s defense needed to make a big play.
Just as the words left Collinsworth’s mouth, Purdy’s pass ended up in the hands of Jordyn Brooks, who scampered into the end zone for six points. After the converted extra point, the Seahawks had successfully cut the 49ers’ lead to 14.
Fans on social media were impressed by Collinsworth’s prediction, as his timing could not have been better when he called for Seattle’s defense to step up and make a game-changing play.
