Serious criminals held in hospital including killers and sex offenders are to be stripped of benefits following demands from victims’ families.
The government has confirmed action to end "double provision", a mechanism allowing offenders to collect hundreds of pounds a month for living expenses while undergoing NHS psychiatric treatment.
