A cowardly Queensland killer who stabbed a "footy-obsessed Bob Marley- loving" father to death south of Brisbane has been jailed.
Mason Sione Freche, 21, who has never held a job, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the Brisbane Supreme Court on Wednesday.
Freche, aged 19 at the time, was addicted to amphetamines when he knifed the 47-year-old man in the Logan suburb of Kingston in March 2020.
Muhammad Lukman-hakim Abdul was in the passenger seat of a parked car when Freche spotted him as he was on his way to buy cannabis.
Freche climbed into the driver seat before stabbing the father of four twice - causing wounds to his hand and leg.
The stab wound to the leg severed the victim's femoral artery, and he died later in hospital.
Justice Elizabeth Wilson said that "no particular reason" for the stabbing had been outlined in the evidence.
"This was an unprovoked attack ... no medical assistance was rendered by you, and you callously absconded," Justice Wilson said.
"Mr Adbul was much loved - he was a brother, he was a father, and he was a grandfather.
"His daughter says her father was the best soccer-playing, footy-obsessed Bob Marley-loving, funniest and most amazing man.
"You showed no remorse, you ran away, and you were found cowardly hiding from the police under a pile of laundry."
Freche was sentenced to nine years in prison and will be eligible for parole in March 2023.
