Covid vaccination: 14 lakh get third dose in Maharashtra, 60% of them senior citizens

MUMBAI: More than 14 lakh precautionary doses have been administered in Maharashtra with senior citizens leading the charge since the booster drive was rolled out on January 10.

The uptake of the third dose in the state, though, has been relatively slow compared to others like UP, West Bengal and Gujarat. In Mumbai, barely 55% of those eligible have taken the precautionary dose in the past 40 days.
