The Liverpool CIty Region has seen positive Covid tests fall by around 33%.
According to the latest data from Public Health England, the Liverpool City Region recorded 1,783 cases in the week ending May 2. That's 909 fewer cases than in the seven days beforehand. It meant that the week-on-week percentage change figure in the city region fell by 34%.
Every area of the city region saw falls in the week-on-week percentage change figures. The falls were: 26% in Knowsley; 35% in Liverpool; 32% in Halton; 38% in St Helens; 31% in Sefton; and, 36% in Wirral.

Cheshire West and Chester, West Lancs, and Warrington all recorded falls in positive tests in the week ending May 2.
England also had a week-on-week percentage change figure fall of 37%.
Liverpool
Liverpool's positive tests came to 498 cases in the week ending May 2, which is 273 fewer cases than the previous week. This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure fell by 35%. The latest infection rate was 99.5 cases per 100,000 people.
Wirral
Wirral's positive tests came to 384 cases in the week ending May 2, which is 213 fewer cases than in the previous seven days. This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure fell by 36%. The latest infection rate was 118.4 cases per 100,000 people.
Halton
There were 146 positive tests over the last week - that's 68 fewer cases than in the previous week. This means the week-on-week percentage change figure fell by 32% in Halton in the week ending May 2. The latest infection rate is 112.5 cases per 100,000 people.
St Helens
There was a total of 186 cases in the week ending May 2, which is 115 fewer cases than in the previous week. The latest infection rate in St Helens is 102.7 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure fell by 38%.
Knowsley
There was a total of 182 cases in the week ending May 2, which is 63 fewer cases than in the previous week. The latest infection rate in Knowsley is 119.4 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure fell by 26%.
Sefton
Sefton had a total of 387 cases in the week ending May 2, which is a 177 fewer cases than in the previous week. The latest infection rate is 140.3 cases per 100,000 people and the number of cases fell by 31% week on week.
Liverpool City Region
There were 1,783 positive tests over in the week ending May 2, which is 909 fewer cases than in the previous week. This means the week-on-week percentage change fell by 34%. The latest infection rate is 104.71 cases per 100,000 people.
Warrington
There were 290 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending May 2, which is 114 fewer cases than the previous week. The week-on-week percentage figure fell by 28%. There was an infection rate of 138.49 per 100,000 people.
Cheshire West and Chester
There were 468 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending May 2, which is 285 fewer cases than the previous week. The latest infection rate is 136.12 cases per 100,000 people, and the week-on-week percentage fell by 38% in cases.
West Lancs
There were 127 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending May 2, which is 77 fewer cases than the previous week. The latest infection rate in West Lancs is 110.92 cases per 100,000 people, and the week-on-week percentage fell by 38% in cases.
England
In the week ending May 2, England recorded 63,023 coronavirus cases, which is 37,273 fewer cases than in the previous seven days. The week-on-week percentage fell by 37% in England. There was an infection rate of 111.45 per 100,000 people.
