Council chiefs have vowed to reopen a Covid-hit Ayrshire tip at the 'earliest opportunity'.
The Kilbirnie Recycling Centre was forced to close the gates last Wednesday, March 23, due to a number of virus-related staff absences.
North Ayrshire Council was today still unable to commit to a date for reopening with residents advised to use alternative facilities across the county until further notice.
A spokesperson for the local authority told Ayrshire Live: "If residents require use of a recycling centre, our facilities in Largs and Irvine are operating as normal.
"We will reopen the Kilbirnie site at the earliest opportunity. We apologies for any inconvenience.”
