The COVID-19 stricken HMAS Adelaide has offloaded humanitarian and medical aid for Tonga's volcano and tsunami disaster recovery.
The Tongan government allowed the ship, aboard which 23 infections were earlier confirmed, to dock and offload supplies on Wednesday.
"The ship is undertaking an entirely contactless delivery of humanitarian assistance and disaster relief supplies," a statement from Australia's foreign affairs, defence and international development ministers said.
The Morrison government has so far committed $3 million towards Tonga's recovery.
An underwater volcanic eruption triggered a tsunami on January 15, severing an fibre-optic communication cable connecting Tonga to the test of the world.
Australia is helping Tonga restore power and communications as well as with recovery efforts on outer islands, delivering more than 40 tonnes of supplies so far.
