PUNE: As many as 72 people tested positive for Covid-19 in the Pune Metropolitan Region (PMR) on Thursday as against just 33 a day before. The data released by the district health office showed that as many as 4,651 tests were conducted in the region in the past 24 hours.
With this, the positivity rate for the stood at 1.5% in PMR, an increase from less than 1% for many days. No fatality due to Covid-19 was recorded in the region in the last 24 hours. With the latest numbers, the cases have risen above 14.53 lakh and recoveries reached 14.33 lakh.
As many as 35 recoveries were recorded in PMR on Thursday as against 32 the previous day. As many as 10 people are undergoing anti-Covid treatment in the hospitals across PMR, while 245 are in home isolation. Following a drastic drop in cases, health experts have advised people not to let their guard down and abide by the Covid-appropriate behaviour.
