COVID-19 case numbers from around the states and territories

Here's a quick wrap of each Australian jurisdiction's latest COVID-19 statistics for Monday, April 11.

Victoria

There has been one COVID-19 death. 

There are 381 cases in hospital, with 20 of those in intensive care and one requiring ventilation.

There were 9,597 new cases on Monday.

NSW

The state has recorded three more COVID-19 deaths. 

There are 1,568 cases in hospital, 62 of them in intensive care. 

There were 13,468 new cases announced on Monday.

Tasmania

The state has recorded 1,650 new cases.

There are 56 people in hospital with the virus, with 27 showing symptoms. One person is in ICU.

Northern Territory

There were 375 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in the NT in the 24 hours to 8pm on Sunday.

There are 31 patients in hospital, with five requiring oxygen. One patient is in ICU.

Queensland

Queensland has recorded 6,667 new COVID-19 cases. There have been no deaths. 

There are 518 people in hospital with the virus, including 14 in intensive care.

Western Australia

WA Health is reporting a total of 4,993 new COVID-19 cases.

There are 240 people with COVID in hospital, with eight in ICU.

ACT

A man in his 60s has died with COVID-19 in Canberra and the ACT has recorded 775 new cases.

There are 62 COVID cases in hospital, with two of those in intensive care, both requiring ventilation.

South Australia

South Australia has recorded 4,281 new cases of COVID and no new deaths linked to the virus.

There are 236 people with COVID-19 in hospital – an increase of 14 since yesterday’s figures.

Thirteen people are in intensive care, with two on ventilators.

There are 38,031 known active cases in SA.
