A couple have been forced into selling their belongings on eBay in order to pay for their bills.
The husband and wife, who the ECHO have not named, say their house in Liverpool is so cold, they avoid opening doors. The house has a sub-standard energy efficiency rating and the couple said that rises in rent and bill prices mean they can't enjoy life.
The husband told the Mirror : "Last November, during our house move, we found a place for £750. That was the best price we could find, but the £200 increase in rent is bringing us to our knees.
