- A Scottish couple, Kim Hutchison and Harry Grieve, were left "petrified" after a shirtless man mistakenly entered their Travelodge hotel room in Dundee at 2am with a key card.
- The man, who believed it was his room, remained inside for approximately one minute before leaving after an exchange with the couple.
- The couple reported the incident but found no staff at reception; police later attended the hotel for an unrelated disturbance.
- After difficulties contacting Travelodge, the couple eventually received a refund for their stay and a £100 voucher.
- Travelodge apologised, admitting updated security policies were not followed, and stated they are retraining staff and reviewing room access security following similar past incidents at their hotels.
