A newly married couple has ditched wedding traditions by getting married on the beach in matching pink and blue shark onesies - intended as a "funny" nod to their shared love of scuba diving.
Alexandra and Mike Aliscio, from Palm Beach, Florida, said 'I do' on March 6, having decided that very morning to tie the knot while wearing their colourful onesies "on a whim".
A notary friend officiated the unique ceremony, while another took wedding photographs free of charge, with the thrifty newlyweds having only spent cash on the celebratory barbeque held after the vows were exchanged.
Photos show the happy couple holding onto each other's 'fins' as they promised to love, honour, and obey each other, with Alexandra even donning a bridal veil over her pink shark hood.

Artist Alexandra, 34, and technician Mike, 40, received a somewhat "mixed reaction" from family members, but Alexandra says she has no regrets about their theme, with their wedding being the "best weekend of their lives".
Alexandra said: "We're probably going to have a traditional wedding later in the year, November is what we're shooting for.
"We did want to have a little ceremony for just the two of us, a little elopement, where we didn't have to worry about anything.
"We just wanted to have a fun weekend where we could go away and get married. We got married in North Palm Beach Florida".
She added: "Mike's best friend has a fancy camera so we asked to take the pictures, and his wife is a notary so she could officiate the wedding. Our good friends, Mike and Kelly, took the pictures and officiated.
"It's not what you know, it's who you know. Me and Mike have been engaged for a little over a year, but we made the decision to get married on the beach the morning we did it".
According to Alexandra, the pair had originally intended to take their engagement snaps in the onesies, but this didn't end up happening.
They then decided to go one step further and actually get married while dressed as sharks, believing it would be "funny".
Just four people were in attendance at the intimate oceanside ceremony, and although Alexandra admits she "got some funny looks", she believes "it was so worth it".
Alexandra continued: "We had the best time, it was nothing but a celebration of us. We wanted to do something on a whim, we just wanted to be married. It was the best weekend of my life, that's for sure. It was a free wedding. The barbecue afterwards probably cost us £76 ($100), so I guess it's a £76 wedding. I highly recommend it, and would definitely do it again.
"The sharks are totally random. We got the onesies for Christmas two years ago, and we've had them but never put them on. Mike's a diver and I love to snorkel, we're always in the ocean. Mike loves sharks, so I guess that'd be the significance of it. We're salty ocean people. I guess you'd have to be if you live on the Florida coast, you don't really have a choice".
