Couple accidentally give signal they are swingers on holiday with patterned swimwear

A woman has shared how she thought people were just being extra nice to her and her husband on holiday, before realising they were giving off a signal that they were swingers.

Linda and her husband were wearing matching swimwear, both sporting a pineapple motif.

She posted a photo montage to Tik Tok, which has since gone viral, which she captioned: “Ooops, no one told me,” before showing a variety of pictures of the pair in their matching swimwear at the beach.

For those in the know, the pineapple is a symbol that you might be up for a bit of partner swapping.

According to the Independent, if a pineapple is placed outside a home it can indicate that a swinger party is going on inside.

It also revealed that swingers identify each other in public by wearing clothes and other items featuring the pattern, leaving those who don't know, none the wiser.

It appears Linda and her husband eventually worked out why people were "being extra nice" but the clip doesn't share how the couple be came aware.

Linda's video has racked up more than 4.3 million views in just four days with some viewers stunned at this inside information.

One comment read: “Let’s take pineapples back! Let swingers use something else."

While another added: “I feel like they should pick something a little more obscure, pineapple stuff is too cute.”

Linda replied to one comment, adding that she “really wants" to look into the reason behind why pineapples is the swingers' call sign.

One person said it was because the fruit used to be a sign of “wealth/hospitality.”
