Countries without Covid restrictions you can travel to this summer

With summer holidays at the forefront of many people's minds there are plenty of options available as countries across the world ease their Covid travel restrictions.

Spain, Turkey, France and Portugal are welcoming back tourists and with less strict restrictions than had been in place.

Proof of vaccination is still in place in some countries whilst in others they are relaxed with Spain just this week announcing it was welcoming unvaccinated travelers, having previously only opened borders to double jabbed tourists.

However, if the thought of any Covid regulations is putting you off, there are 32 countries across the world which have scrapped travel rules entirely, including plenty of summer hotspots such as Greece, Croatia and Mexico, reports The Mirror.

While you may still be subject to regular restrictions such as tourist visas in some destinations, you won't need to show proof of vaccination or a negative PCR or antigen test result if you want to visit for a holiday.

Meanwhile, the UK has also scrapped its rules meaning you won't need any tests, proof of vaccination or passenger locator forms when you return.

Another thing to keep in mind when planning a trip abroad this summer is your passport. If you need a new passport there are currently lengthy delays with both Irish passports and British passports.

Holidaymakers are being urged not to book any trips unless they have a valid passport that falls within the expiry date period as set by each destination.

Here's a look at the 32 countries currently operating without any Covid restrictions for travel:
