Council Tax discounts and exemptions - how to apply before new payments start

Every household in Scotland will now have had their council tax bills for 2022/23 issued and how much they will be expected to pay over the coming financial year decided by local councils.

The first payments for the new council tax year are set to start being taken in mid-April, so now is the time to thoroughly check your new bill carefully and compare it with last year's to check it is correct.
