Town hall officials have confirmed they are looking into a boarding kennels business which has been at the centre of a social media storm. Stockport Council says it is aware of video footage circulating online this week, which was filmed at Daisy Bank Boarding Kennels.
The footage is understood to have been recorded on Tuesday (August 2), on the same day it was widely circulated on Facebook. It attracted a huge response from users on the social media site, after concerns were raised in the video about the Heald Green kennels.
Police had also been called out to the kennels, on Finney Lane, at around 12pm on Tuesday following reports of an assault. Greater Manchester Police says two women were arrested on suspicion of affray following the incident but no charges have been made.
