Could you pass the driving theory test now? Find out by taking our quiz

If it has been a while since you had your driving theory test, would you be able to pass it today?

You might have forgotten some of the answers to the questions, such as stopping distance or traffic signs. Or there might be other topics you are not 100% on.

Well, you can test your knowledge by taking our quiz below. The theory test, which was introduced in 1996, is the first step in becoming a full UK driving licence holder.

You need to pass this before you can book your practical driving test. The theory test for car and motorcycle drivers is made up of two parts taken at the same time - multiple choice and hazard perception.

To pass, you need to score at least 43 out of 50 questions in the multiple choice section. You must pass both parts to get a test certificate.

Your pass certificate lasts for two years. You must pass your driving test in that time, otherwise you’ll have to sit the theory test again.

So, here is a chance to give the theory test another shot. Let us know in our comments section how you get on with this selection of questions.
