Cotton futures are trading with modest gains of 10 to 21 points across most contracts on Friday. Crude oil is up $2.69 per barrel on the session, with the US dollar index $0.090 lower.
USDA’s Export Sales report showed 146,892 RB of cotton sales in the week ending in October 8, which was down 11.12% from last week. Sales for 2027/28 were 7,182 RB. Shipments were tallied at 140,561 RB, which was back down 13.11% from last week and a 0.94% increase from the same week last year.
