Coronation Street viewers were distracted by Steve McDonald's new look on the soap last night.
Steve, played by Simon Gregson, 48, is one of the show's longest serving characters having made his debut on the cobbles in 1989.
But in Monday night's episode, fans said they didn't recognise him.
As Steve and Tracy chatted to their daughter Amy, one fan thought the soap stalwart looked like a "Poundland Eminem" because of his baseball cap.
Another mused: "How different does Steve look in that hat?" While a third asked: "#Corrie Why has Steve got a hat on indoors?"
Steve first rocked up in Weatherfield with his mum Liz, dad Jim and twin brother Andy.
The former tearaway has had his fair share of dodgy dealings, but has become more of a comedic character over the years.
Steve's faux pas' could explain why he's remarried so many times on the soap - having got hitched seven times to five different women.
Throughout his career, Simon has received 17 awards for comedy and performance, plus a Legends of Industry Award.
The actor returned to Corrie last year having taken time off after breaking his leg.
The accident was written into the soap, after Simon explained at the time: "I literally just went over and rolled my ankle, outside the back of the house.
"It was done in six places."
Off-screen, the actor is married to former Hollyoaks actress Emma Gleave and they have three boys together - Alfie, Henry, and Teddy.
The family-of-five live in a gorgeous home in Cheshire, but the actor recently opened up about his pad being haunted.
He spoke to ghost hunter Barri Ghai, psychic medium Ian Lawman and paranormal researcher Jayne Harris about the 'woman in white' he'd seen lurking in his gaf.
In an episode of Celebrity Help! My House Is Haunted, Simon described the shadowy figure, who he'd spotted roaming the halls of his home nestled in 'celebrity central', so called because of its high-profile residents.
"It went from right to left across one of the landings upstairs," he recalled.
During the investigation, Simon led Barri upstairs to his eldest son’s room, which had allegedly seen the most paranormal activity.
Simon’s wife Emma recalled, it was where she first saw the ghostly figure of the woman in a long dress roaming the upstairs rooms.
She claimed: "I see, like, a white figure in the entrance to my little boy's room all the time."
