Kimberly Hart-Simpson manifested her own return to Coronation Street with a vision board.
The actress will be back on screens soon as sex worker Nicky Wheatley, causing a tricky rift between Daniel Osbourne and his brand new girlfriend Daisy Midgeley.
Nicky was last in the soap in September 2020, when she spent time with Daniel after the death of his wife - with him taking an instant shine to her. However, he hadn't realised she wanted him to pay for her company.
In final scenes two years ago, Nicky disappeared to start a new life with some money stolen by Daniel from abusive Geoff Metcalfe.
Now Kimberly is returning to her role - something which she says she secured herself through a vision board.
"This is not for everyone, but I like vision boards, things that I want in my life I want to see in front of me on the daily - it gives me direction and purpose," she is quoted by the Manchester Evening News as saying.
"On the day of getting the call about Corrie, I’d just done a vision board of the 10 things that I want in my life in general, and Corrie went back on there, and I pinned it up and I wrote the reason. I wrote what it would feel like, how I got the call, what would happen next and who I told first - this is all part of something I read online."
Kimberly said it just took two hours for her to secure the role and thinks her vision board helped "solidify" that for her.
She added: "I did that, and within two hours I got the call to see whether I wanted to go back! Whether that be the power of my boards, I don’t know, but I think that solidified me, having that vision.
"I make no secret of the fact that this is where I want to be in life. I love this show, and this has been by far the best job I’ve ever had."
The actress had previously insisted her heart was "always" with Coronation Street.
"Do you know what? My heart will always forever and utterly be Coronation Street. Just because that's what I grew up on. It's just in my blood," she explained recently, "It's part of my life isn't it? And it's just been a, it's been a journey, always waking up, going, 'I'm meant to be in Corrie, I'm meant to be in Corrie.' For ten years I auditioned for that show. Ten years!"
