Coronation Street fans were left confused by the flashback scenes tonight - as it was 'revealed' who's behind the crash.
The ITV soap has aired a dramatic week of episodes, which all began with a flashback showing Imran leaving a message for his wife Toyah Battersby where he revealed the extent of his crimes and his involvement in Abi's downfall.
Since then, viewers have learned of a horrifying car crash, which left Imran Habeeb (Charlie de Melo) dead and his wife Toyah badly injured. The suspicion has fallen on Abi Webster, Imran's one night stand - and the mother of his child Alfie - as well as Kevin Webster, whilst Kelly has also come under suspicion from fans.
However, it now appears that the soap has confirmed - or at least hinted - who is responsible for the crash.
Flashback scenes shown tonight saw Imran confessing to Toyah all about his involvement in the fake evidence given in court, as he begged her to see that he had done it for their family. As they drove through the city, an angry Toyah told Imran she "hated him with all her heart" and couldn't forgive him for what he had done as it meant they would lose out on Elsie.
Throughout the row, Imran kept begging Toyah to keep her eyes on the road - and at one point even suggested they should pull over so they could talk properly, making it seem like it was Toyah responsible for all that happened.
Seconds later, after the row, the car was seen careering into a wall as the scaffolding threatened to fall. As we know already, Toyah was trapped in the car and unable to move and Imran rushed to pull her out before the metal came tumbling down.
Whilst he managed to pull her out of the crash, as soon as she was seen by an ambulance, he collapsed and was treated by paramedics, who eventually decided to stop giving CPR and declare him dead.
However, confused fans tuning into the show were left puzzled by a 'big gap' in the flashback scenes, as it appeared to just go straight from the row into the crash, with no explanation of what happened moments before the collision.
"So she purposely drove into the building or? I don’t get it #Corrie," one fan wrote, as a second added: "One minute they are on a main road, then on some side road to nowhere, not very believable #corrie."
A third shared: "so did she do it on purpose or was she distracted ?!?! #corrie."
"That clears that up then... #corrie," a fourth added.
