Corporate advisory firm Lexington move to larger offices to accommodate growth

Lexington Corporate Finance has moved to larger offices to accommodate further growth.

The Cardiff-based corporate advisory firm, which provides advice from mergers and acquisitions to raising growth finance, has moved to a three-storey building on Columbus Walk – close to the centre of the capital.

The 3,000 sq ft office has been acquired by Lexington’s shareholders and is being leased to Lexington on a initial seven year lease. Lexington has outgrown its previous office on Windsor Place in the centre of the city, where it was originally established seven years ago.

Having bolstered its headcount to 12 in recent months, the new space will have room to more than double the size of the business as it continues its recruitment drive to provide continued support for businesses across the UK.

Gary Partridge, managing director at Lexington, said: “As we came out of the pandemic, we quickly realised that our previous office was not going to be fit for purpose for our growing team. In our new headquarters, we’ll easily be able to accommodate our planned expansion in the team which will be crucial as we continue to grow and diversify our client base and services.”

Lexington is looking to capitalise on its strong growth figures for 2021, that saw it advise on more than £160m of transactions. Deals it advised on including the acquisition of Cardiff-based tech firm DevOpsGroup by Nasdaq listed Amdocs and the investment in Victorian Sliders by BGF.

Nigel Griffiths, commercial director at Lexington, added: “It’s an exciting time for the business. We have grown significantly over the last two years to become one of the largest independent corporate finance specialists in Wales, with key appointments and award successes to boot.

"We’re all excited to see what this next chapter will bring for Lexington and we have built a great team that we are really proud of.”

Savills and Brinsons acted as property agents on the acquisition of the new office, with legal advice was provided by Geldards.

Lexington’s new working space has been designed by Bbi.
