Coronation Street stars in row on Instagram after credits roll

Some former and current Coronation Street actors have found themselves in a row online after Craig Tinker proposed to Faye Windass in scenes that aired on Friday.

Craig told Faye she is the "first thing he thinks about when he wakes up and the last thing when he goes to sleep", and a hesitant Faye eventually accepted the ring. But her head has recently been turned by her childhood ex, Jackson, with whom she shares daughter Miley.

The episode drew to a close with Faye convincing Craig it was him she wanted to be with, but as he drew her in for a hug she still didn't look sure.

After the scenes aired, Craig actor Colson Smith shared a behind-the-scenes snap on Instagram. In the photo, Colson could be seen wearing an oversized red Corrie jacket, down on one knee in Weatherfield and holding the open ring box.

Captioning the post, he said: "Can you believe it, Craig Tinker getting down on one knee". Lucy Fallon, who previously played Bethany Platt, a former flame of Craig's, wrote: "Not happy x"

Faye actress Ellie Leach quickly waded in and replied: "You win some you lose some #loser" and Lucy cheekily hit back: "Don’t make me come and knock you out [kiss emoji]". Colson added: "You’re in London or Milan aren’t you?", referencing the storyline that saw Bethany leave the Street.
