A popular Coronation Street actress is reportedly leaving the soap in a huge summer storyline.
Ellie Leach, who plays Faye Windass, is expected to leave the soap in dramatic scenes, with details being kept under wraps for now.
She joined the ITV soap - which airs on Virgin Media in Ireland - when she was just 10 years old and has had her fair share of notable storylines over the last 12 years.

These include a teenage pregnancy and going through the early menopause. She is currently tackling reuniting with her daughter Miley, who she had with Jackson when she was just young herself.
It is believed her character won't be killed off so she could make a return one day.
A source told The Sun: "Ellie’s been on the soap since she was 10 years old so it’s all she’s known, she sees the cast like an extension of her family. She’s sad to be leaving, but grateful that her character won’t be killed off. She’s going to have a go at trying other acting roles for a bit."
A spokesperson for the ITV soap has approached for comment by Mirror UK.
Back in 2021, Ellie - who is now aged 22 - told The Mirror she couldn't believe she had been on the show for a decade.
She said: "It is crazy to think it is 10 years. It has gone so fast but I also feel like I have been there my whole life. For what time I can remember, Corrie has been my life. As a child, you just can’t believe it. You don’t really know at that age what is happening.
"I definitely didn’t imagine I would still be here 10 years later. I am the type who doesn’t like to think too far into the future.
"I hope I am there forever. It is an amazing job and I love being there. I think growing up in Corrie and the profession I am in, working with adults since a young age, I think that helped me to have my head screwed on. Mum and Dad have kept me grounded anyway – I wouldn’t be any different. I have always had that guidance. I am one of those people who do struggle with the limelight.
"I don’t see myself as different to anybody else. Obviously, I am on people’s tellies but I am no different to any other person. I’ve had people coming up in the street and they can’t think where they know me from."
