Coronation Street's Sue Cleaver shows off incredible weight loss as she debuts new look

Coronation Street icon Sue Cleaver had her fans mesmerised by her weight loss, as she took to social media to showcase her transformation with a new blonde bob and gorgeous pink suit.

The Weatherfield legend, who has played Eileen Grimshaw since 2000, looked stunning as she posted new snaps on her Instagram page to her adoring 142k fleet of loyal fans, who rushed to the comments to compliment her new look.

The 59-year-old actress had fans swooning over her weight loss journey, following her return to the Cobbles in December last year after her stint in the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! jungle.

Sue flaunted her new look on Tuesday with a new shorter blonde hairstyle, after having her makeup done by celebrity makeup artist Bryony Blake, reports Manchester Evening News.

And people rushed to the comments section to share their thoughts, as fans and her co-stars couldn't believe how great she is looking.

Fellow Corrie favourite Catherine Tyldesley, who played Eva Price, told her: "You look incredible xxx" and Brooke Vincent, who played Sophie Webster, marvelled: "SUEEEE."

Nicola Thorp, who played Nicola Rubinstein, the daughter of Eileen's late husband Pat Phelan, exclaimed: "Bloody GORG." And clare-temple.9 gasped: "You've lost so much weight!"

Sue previously admitted she did "lose some weight" during her time in Australia during an appearance on This Morning back in January. She went on to become featured on Prima magazine's front cover and told the publication about diet culture and how she avoids it.

She became the third campmate to be evicted from the jungle in Australia in last year's series after joining the likes of Boy George, Mike Tindall, Charlene White, Matt Hancock and eventual winner, England Lioness Jill Scott.

Sue told Prima magazine previously: "I’m not obsessing over diets, life is hard enough! There's always going to be outside pressure and unfair expectations placed on women, but I refuse to get pulled into it.

"That's why I’ll never promote anything weight-related, and it’s why I’d always rather compliment somebody on their smile or their outfit, rather than their weight."

Reuniting with fellow campmate Chris Moyles on his Radio X show earlier this year, Sue revealed a moment viewers of ITV's I'm A Celeb didn't get to see - her being told off by producers for suggesting they tuck into their animal camp guests.

"I knew it was going to be tough, as I knew several people that had been in it," she said.

"But I thought, 'Oh they're just doing this for the telly. They'll bob in a few cakes in the afternoon.' That didn't happen, did it Chris?" Sue went on to reveal that the contestants are actually strictly forbidden to eat any of the local wildlife they may have come across whilst on the show.

"Everything's protected," she said, "In fact, there was one day when we were down at the creek and someone said: 'There's a lobster!' But It was a yabby. And everyone - because we were hungry - went, 'Oh my lord, maybe we could catch it!'"

But they weren't going to get away with it as Sue revealed: "This voice of death came on and said: 'Those are yabbys and they are protected species! Step away from the yabby!'"
