Coronation Street's Sue Cleaver 'not sorry' as she takes break from soap

Coronation Street's Sue Cleaver has declared she's "not sorry" as she takes a break in the sun, far away from Weatherfield.

The Corrie legend hasn't been seen on the soap since December 26, 2022. In scenes that aired on Boxing Day, Eileen was given a ticket to Thailand to visit her son Jason for an entire month.

The storyline came about to cover up Sue's stint in I'm a Celebrity. As the soap is filmed in advance, Eileen remained on screen while Sue was in the Australian camp, but the episodes have since caught up.

Since the gruelling reality TV series wrapped, Sue has appeared on other programmes, such as ITV's This Morning. And she's now taking a "mini break" somewhere sunny.

Sharing a snap of herself posing by the water, wearing sunglasses and with no need for a coat, Sue simply said: "Happy Wednesday…! #sorrynotsorry #minibreak".

Fans have rushed to comment on the Instagram post. Lia said: "Aww lush, enjoy!", while Jess said: "Looks fab!"

Lauren said: "Looking great Sue, but hope this doesn't mean Eileen's staying in Thailand". Christopher said: "Have a wonderful Wednesday".
