Coronation Street's Jodie Prenger shared her relationship with co-star Tony Maudsley as she discussed her role in the long-running soap with Ranvir Singh on Thursday.
The Glenda Shuttleworth actress has had Corrie fans in stitches since she first arrived in Weatherfield earlier this year. She plays George Shuttleworth's sister, and she had a lot of praise for the actor who plays him. Ranvir is currently stepping in for Lorraine Kelly on her self-titled show, as its usual presenter takes an extended Christmas break.
Jodie joined her on the sofa to discuss all things Coronation Street. And among that, she shared how she feels about Tony.

She said she works with "soap royalty" and compared Rita Tanner actress Barbara Knox to Meryl Streep. Jodie added: "I want [Glenda] to meet a man, I have put it out there, if Gerard Butler is free I will take one for the team."
Talking about the soap's Christmas episodes, she continued: "There are some funny moments, with sofa gate, with Tony Maudsley" before adding that she "adores" him.
Jodie added: "There's just a lot of fun and warmth which is something that I've always held Corrie as, that fun and warmth." Ranvir replied: "Well that's what makes it stand out, the women who have had your role, the barmaids, they're the ones who always bring the humour".
Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV and the ITV Hub
