Coronation Street fans swoon as Paddy Bever has hair shaved off

Coronation Street fans have been full of compliments for Paddy Bever as she showed off a hair transformation on Saturday.

Paddy has played Max Turner on the cobbles since 2020, taking over the decade-long role from its previous star, Harry McDermott. In the short time he's been with the Corrie family, Paddy has been involved in some major storylines.

On the Cobbles he's recently found himself in trouble with the law but his real life is a far cry from the struggling teenager he plays. Paddy embraced the role and was welcomed by viewers so much so he managed to walk away with a National Television Award despite this being his first professional time on screen.

The Max Turner star has ditched his trademark locks, after being "buzzed". While Max usually has longer hair, he revealed Corrie's hair and makeup designer Gillian Walsh had shaved his hair off, presumably for upcoming scenes.

Sharing a number of selfies of his new 'do on Instagram, Paddy simply said: "@gillywalshy buzzed me".

The star's Corrie colleagues were quick to respond. Ellie Leach, who plays Faye Windass, said: "Hot x", while Jack P Shepherd, who plays Max's on-screen stepdad David Platt, joked: "Previously on Prison Break…"

Beck said: "Oh my god YES", while Paul said: "Nice haircut, it suits you". Nathan said: "Looking fresh there Paddy".
