Coronation Street fans 'not ready' as they 'can't bear to watch'

Coronation Street fans were left "shouting at the TV" during Wednesday's episodes as emotional scenes began to unfold.

Daisy Midgeley's evil stalker Justin Rutherford finally has his day in court after launching a horrific campaign against her and attempting to throw acid all over her. Viewers will know the acid actually hit Ryan Connor, who has been left scarred for life.

Earlier this week Justin's sister Karen arrived at the Rovers and apologised to Daisy on her brother's behalf, adding that she hopes Justin will be sent down for his heinous crimes. But during Tuesday's episode, Daisy and Ryan had a blazing row in front of Karen.

And on Wednesday, Karen told Ryan she had reported every word of the row back to Justin's defence team who will use the information to paint Daisy in a bad light.

Left reeling, Ryan went back to the flat and tried to calm himself down as he had a panic attack. When he failed to turn up at court, Carla desperately tried to call him.

But Ryan was in an emotional state, rocking himself back and forth while listening to headphones and sobbing. Jenny and Carla were devastated when they realised Ryan would not be giving evidence.

Many viewers took to Twitter to air their thoughts on the scenes.

@ShakyWoon said: "Justin's trial. I'm not ready for the verdict". Emma said: "I promise right here and right now that I won’t be watching #Corrie again if Ryan and Daisy don’t get justice".

Victoria said: "Oh Ryan you need to go to court", Cheryl said: "Can't bear to watch, I'm terrified he's going to get away with it".

Coronation Street airs every night this week at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX
