Corn Slipping Lower on Friday Morning

Corn prices are fractionally to 1 ¼ cents lower early on Friday. Futures fell back weaker on Thursday, after the midweek gains, as contracts were down 2 ¼ to 3 ¾ cents on the session. Open interest was down 9,943 contracts, mainly int eh December contract (-15,846). The CmdtyView national average Cash Corn price was down 2 1/2 cents at $4.22 1/2.

The average close for December futures has been $4.84, as the harvest price crop insurance discovery period has just 6 days left.
