Police searching for missing Scots dad Evan Reid spoke to drivers and pedestrians in the area where he was last seen - one week on from his disappearance.

Evan, 31, was on a train home to Irvine at around 10pm on Saturday, March 25, when he left the train at Gilmour Street station in Paisley.

Police say that CCTV footage captured Evan's last known movements on Inchinnan Road in the town at 10.06pm.

On Saturday, April 1 - one week on from his disappearance - police spoke to around 150 people in the Inchinnan Road area between 9.30pm and 11.15pm.

Evan is described as being around 5ft 8in and of slim build. When last seen he was wearing a khaki green jumper, a black body warmer, dark blue jeans and grey trainers.

Chief Inspector William Graham, Renfrewshire Area Commander, said: “In a bid to jog memories, we had officers out in the last known place Evan was, around the same time a week on.

“While we continue to assess the information from the public, I would urge anyone who may have seen Evan since 10pm on Saturday, 25 March, and has not already come forward, to please get in touch.

“Specialist and local officers have been carrying out land and water searches close to Inchinnan Road, near the River Cart, and our enquiries are ongoing. I’d like to thank the public for their continued support.”

Anyone with any information is urged to contact Police Scotland by calling 101, quoting reference number 4112 of Saturday, 25 March, 2023.
