Police investigating a horror crash which left two people seriously injured have issued an appeal for witnesses to the early morning smash.
Investigators are keen to speak to anyone who saw a black BMW and a silver Skoda driving on the A90 Dundee to Perth road at around 1am on Monday.
A 28-year-old woman and a 23-year-old were rushed to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee after being badly injured during the collision.
Officers closed the busy dual carriageway for around 10 hours while a full accident investigation was carried out at the scene near Bullionfield Garage, Invergowrie.
Sergeant Brian McEwen, of Tayside Road Policing Unit, says that while the roads were fairly quiet, anyone with information should contact officers.
He said: “This was a serious crash that occurred in the early hours of the morning when the roads were relatively quiet, however, I am appealing for anyone who may have seen either car prior to the crash or the crash itself to get in touch.
“I would also urge anyone with dashcam footage that could assist our investigation to get in touch with officers.
“Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 0284 of 13 June.”
