When it rains, it pours, and it’s like a monsoon hitting the Los Angeles Rams right now. Just as James Conner was waltzing into the end zone to give the Arizona Cardinals a 31-3 lead over the Rams, the team announced that Cooper Kupp is doubtful to return with an ankle injury.
Kupp got hurt on a 24-yard catch near the end of the first half and was looked at by trainers on the sideline. He tried to come back into the game but the staff wouldn’t let him, protecting the receiver from himself.
Already without Puka Nacua, losing Kupp for any period of time would be crushing for the Rams’ playoff hopes this season.

According to the FOX broadcast, Kupp remained in the locker room after halftime for further evaluation. It’s possible the team is just being safe with their star receiver in a 31-3 blowout, but it’s not a good sign regardless.
