Cooper Kupp shares message with fans after suffering ankle injury

The Los Angeles Rams continue to be plagued by the injury bug this season as Cooper Kupp will be placed on injured reserve due to an ankle injury that will require surgery. After learning the severity of the injury, Kupp took to Twitter to share a message with fans.

Kupp injured his ankle during Sunday’s disappointing loss to the Arizona Cardinals. The All-Pro wideout was diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain and was put on injured reserve, meaning he’ll have to miss a minimum of four weeks.

Considering how the Rams have been playing this season, there’s a chance we don’t see Kupp on the field again until the 2023 season. The Rams will likely take a cautious approach with the reigning Super Bowl MVP.

This isn’t the first time Kupp has been placed on injured reserve as he tore his ACL during the 2018 season, missing the final six games of the regular season before being sidelined in the Super Bowl loss to the New England Patriots. The veteran wide receiver would bounce back with 94 receptions, 1,161 yards, and 10 touchdowns in 2019.

Before injuring his ankle in Week 10, Kupp was on pace for another stellar season as he led the Rams with 75 catches, 812 yards, and six touchdowns. Upon seeing Kupp’s message to fans on Tuesday, everyone should be expecting a massive comeback for the superstar wide receiver, whenever that may be.
