MUMBAI: Prakhar Chaturvedi (110 not out, 187b, 14x4 ) and Harshil Dharmani (102 not out, 135b, 10x4, 4x6) slammed fine centuries, adding 172 for the second wicket to power Karnataka to 281 for one against Mumbai on Day Two of their Cooch Behar Trophy (for Under-19) final at the KSCA Navule Stadium in Shimoga on Saturday.
Prakhar had earlier added 109 for the opening wicket with Karthik SU (50). With nine wickets in hand, Karnataka now trail by just 99 runs, and on the cusp of taking an important first innings lead against Mumbai.
On Friday, opener Ayush Mhatre had slammed 145 (180b, 17x4, 3x6) to take Mumbai to 328 for six. After Karnataka inserted Mumbai in, Mhatre added 114 in 162 balls for the second wicket with Nutan (44). Ayush Sachin Vartak was batting on 64 (87b, 7x4, 2x6). The match is being telecast live by JioCinema, the BCCI's official broadcasters for home matches.
Opening the bowling, batting great and currently India's head coach Rahul Dravid's son Samit took two for 60 in 19 overs.
