Police who stopped a convicted gun thug found he was driving a stolen Audi with a sock covering the gearstick and a “burglar’s kit” in the boot.
Dean Colquhoun was driving the state-of-the-art RS3 on false plates - with the legitimate ones also found hidden in the vehicle.
A raid on his home months later led to the recovery of a haul of flash items including designer shoes and watches made by Cartier and Rolex.
