Contract details of Titans’ one-year deal with WR Chris Moore

While he wasn’t the kind of impact wideout Tennessee Titans fans were hoping for, the team did finally add a veteran wide receiver in free agency with the signing of former Houston Texan, Chris Moore.

In a perfect world, Moore will serve as no better than the No. 4 receiver in Tennessee’s offense. However, with the way things stand now with this lackluster group, he could be as high as No. 2 on the depth chart.

I expect that to change, though, with the Titans expected to add at least one wide receiver during the 2023 NFL draft, and realistically they could very well add two given the current situation.

And, hopefully they can find a true impact veteran receiver at some point after that, but I’m not holding my breath.

According to Over the Cap, Moore’s deal with the Titans is for one year and totals $1.31 million, with $847,500 of that guaranteed. The 30-year-old also gets a prorated bonus of $152,500, and his deal accounts for a cap hit of $1.09 million in 2023.

That contract doesn’t exactly scream “big role” for Moore, who will have to compete for a roster spot. That said, the veteran has a leg up over the team’s younger receivers who will be vying for depth spots.
