Consilium Chartered Accountants has revealed a round of internal promotions at the end of a year of expansion for the Glasgow-based firm.
Susan Webb, one of the original members of the Consilium team, has been promoted to finance and operations director. She will lead all financial and operational aspects of the business and assist the partner team with strategic planning.
Within audit, Brian Thomson has been promoted to associate director and will become the firm’s second responsible individual. Having joined Consilium earlier in 2022, he will lead statutory audit services for several of the firm’s largest corporates and charities.
Meanwhile, Colin McCrann becomes an assistant manager within corporate finance and Kirsty Boal will now take up the role of assistant manager in the tax department.
In the accounting and business services team, Samantha McCallum also steps up to the role of supervisor.
Founding partner David Holt said: “Retaining the best talent is essential as we continue to grow - so these promotions reflect the value of our colleagues and the key roles they play in helping our clients achieve their business goals.”
Consilium was founded by Holt and fellow partners Raymond Clarke, James Goodman and John Blair, alongside former partners Tom Arbuckle and Charles Burton.
Since its inception in 2013, the firm has grown to a team of 45, including three additional partners: Linzi Wilson (corporate finance), Derek Shaw (accounting and business services) and Craig Coyle (tax).
The firm is based in Glasgow, but provides services to clients across Scotland, around the UK and internationally, via membership of the Kreston Global network.
