Mick McDermott has accused teams of targeting Conor McMenamin after the Glentoran man was stretchered off in the 0-0 draw at Coleraine.
McMenamin was forced off before the end of the first half after a tackle by Dean Jarvis.
The Coleraine man was shown a yellow card at the time by referee Steven Gregg.

It was one of nine yellow cards dished out along with a red for Patrick McClean, who was sent off late long after picking up a second caution for a foul on Conor McDermott in stoppage time.
Bobby Burns also picked up a yellow in the first half for a first half tackle on Aaron Jarvis with some questioning if it should have merited a stronger punishment as well.
Glens boss McDermott though vented his anger towards the officials for the challenge McMenamin, and claimed the referee told him at half time that he "made a mistake" and should have dismissed Bannsiders defender Jarvis.
"The referee admitted to me at half-time that he made a mistake and that it should have been a red card," said McDermott.
"If he's made a mistake he needs to alter his report and say he's made a clear and obvious error.
"We're trying to promote our league, not turn it into a game of rugby.
“Everyone is raving about Conor Mac being the best player in the League and going to England and now teams have resorted to trying to injure him.
"If Conor's injured are people happy because he can't play against them? It's pathetic.
“That’s not on, it’s not football, we should be trying to protect the assets in our League, not trying to hurt them."
In recent weeks it has been suggested the Irish League should introduced VAR, and McDermott once again gave his support to it.
"They are talking about bringing in VAR, well bring it in...there would have been two red cards tonight," he said.
"We need to help them with technology, it can't go on like this.
"The last game against Glenavon we had two goals ruled out yet they were onside.
"People say it balances out over the season...it doesn't."
