Conor McGregor told Jake Paul fight is 'inevitable'

Conor McGregor has been told it is 'inevitable' that he will fight Jake Paul in the future.

The UFC start will return to the octagon this year but will be keeping an eye on Paul's boxing bout against Nate Diaz which will take place in August of this year.

Both Paul and Diaz were in front of media on Tuesday to promote the 185-pound boxing match and the YouTuber turned boxer boldly declared that is it inevitable he will take on the Irishman.

Speaking to the media, he said: "I want Conor next after that. It's inevitable."

McGregor has already said publicly that he reckons Diaz will win the bout but Paul was quick to refute the claims.

'I think he's got trauma from when Nate slapped his head off," he said.

McGregor fought Diaz twice in 2016, losing the first bout in an upset loss but came out on top in a gruelling five-round battle.

The Dubliner will take on Michael Chandler later this year in his first fight in over two years and has a busy few months ahead outside of the octagon.

The former two-weight UFC champion will feature in the latest series of The Ultimate Fighter which will air at the end of this month and his Netflix documentary will premiere on May 17.

And the Crumlin fighter will also make his movie debut in RoadHouse alongside Jake Gyllenhaal with the film in post-production.
